If the car starts on a jump and keeps running, the battery was likely the problem. Drive for a while before you switch off so it can recharge. If it goes flat again soon after, have a mechanic check the battery and the alternator.
If a jump doesn’t turn the engine at all, the starter or another fault may be the cause, and we can tow it to your mechanic on the same call. Hybrids, EVs and some newer cars have their own jump-start procedure, so check your owner’s manual.

Can you jump a car in a basement?
Usually. A jump pack is carried by hand, so it can reach a basement a tow truck can’t enter. Tell dispatch the parking level.
